Evaluation Framework for Students and Staff
ANNU assesses sustainability literacy among both students and staff through a comprehensive and structured evaluation framework. For students, a standardized test developed by the Sustainability Steering Committee covers all sustainability pillars and utilizes a question bank to ensure a unique set of questions for each student. The assessment is integrated into Moodle, where students enrolled in the “Community Service and Sustainability” course are required to complete the test before accessing an instructional video. Their knowledge is evaluated both before and after viewing the video to measure learning progress. In addition, periodic assessments are conducted using representative student samples to support continuous monitoring and improvement. For staff, ANNU conducts sustainability literacy assessments through structured questionnaires and workshops. These evaluations focus on staff members’ understanding of sustainability concepts, awareness of institutional policies, and the integration of sustainability into their professional roles. Academic staff are encouraged to embed sustainability principles within their curricula, while all staff participate in dedicated sustainability training programs. The findings are used to design targeted training initiatives and inform policy recommendations, enhancing sustainability knowledge and practices across the university.
